This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We try to collect as little as possible.
1. Who is responsible
YuE AI is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What we collect
When you sign in
We use Google Sign-In. From it we receive your email address, your name and your profile picture. We do not receive your password and we have no access to your Google account.
When you use the Service
The lyrics, titles and style descriptions you submit, the tracks produced from them, and basic details such as when they were made and how long they took.
Technical data
Our server keeps standard web logs, including IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
If you subscribe
Payments are handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan and its renewal date. We never receive or store your card details.
3. Why we use it
- To run your account and produce the tracks you ask for — because we need it to provide the Service you requested
- To apply usage limits and prevent abuse — because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the Service working for everyone
- To process payments and keep accounting records — because we are required to
- To reply when you contact us
We do not use your data to train models, we do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising.
4. Who else is involved
A small number of providers process data on our behalf:
- Google — sign-in and site analytics
- Stripe — payments
- OpenAI — when you use the writing assistant, the text you provide is sent to generate lyrics
- Cloudflare — traffic delivery and protection
- Our hosting and computing providers, which store and process your tracks
Some of these are outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep things
- Account data — while your account is open
- Audio files, free accounts — 24 hours, then removed automatically
- Audio files, paid plans — while your subscription is active
- Lyrics and titles — kept with the library entry, even after the audio is removed
- Payment records — as long as tax law requires, normally ten years
- Server logs — a few weeks
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can also object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.

7. Deleting your account
Ask us and we will remove your account, your tracks and the text you submitted. Payment records are kept where the law requires it.
8. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It is necessary for the site to work and expires when you sign out.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. If you would rather not be included, browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on will prevent it.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16. If we learn that a child has created an account, we will delete it.
10. Security
Traffic is encrypted, passwords are never stored because sign-in goes through Google, and audio files are served only to the person they belong to or where they have been shared publicly. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will tell you. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
